well.. I've got another one looking out over the sea.. basically a 180 turn... and I think it does have it's merits... *grins*... they are unicorns because normal horses would look even more silly with those shiny metallic coats.. with these I can at least pretend. I totally suck at backgrounds.. I doubt you will see anything in the near future that has any merit in that department... more of an object person anyway.
Impressive use of lattices, the unicorns look like ice sculptures to me, or perhaps with a cast bronze material they could be statues - as you might have gathered I'm not sure about the present composition or the need for them to be unicorns. But that is just a matter of taste, so don't take it personally.
