Bad Weather

Made with Bryce

Exactly as Tundra with the camera correctly turned. The green removed from the sky, the terrain has another mat, a water plane added. Another try on rain.

In fact, I was just curious what would happen if I turned back the camera. On a low res render, it looked as if huge waves were rolling in. It's the sky that makes this. Yes, the horizon is odd, the water plane is infinite and rotated by 8? up in the distance. The rain is an improvement, but it isn't it yet, I admit somewhat frustrated. Thanks for the encouragement.

A very strange effect, particularly when the eye focuses on the horizon, possibly the lack of haze and the fact that the water does not match the sky. I recal a rather extreme opposite example of this once walking along the seafront at six in the morning one summers day, the sea was very calm and the sky matched it exactly - it was possible to see ships on the horizon sharply but the brain kept telling you it was looking into fog because of the matching colours and nothing you could tell yourself, even looking at the ships would convince you otherwise. Very odd. Still not convinced about the rain either - don't know quite what to suggest, multiple layers, volume clouds, I don't know. Keep trying!
