Mist and Trees
I've been thinking about doing a tall thin image for some time now but haven't come up with anything I liked until I saw a portrate photograph (black and white) of some hilltops in the mist and it lead me to make this. All bryce with a bit of gamma and layering in PSP7. Took a while to render with the volumetric clouds.

Out of the woods? I'm always reluctant to go to another format. Renderin is completely right: the format fits superbly! Hills, sky and clouds are just beautiful. I have qualms about the trees on the hills, though. Those on the second hill seem too near (large) when comparing them to the far crest. It might be a trick my expectations of the scope of distance is playing on me. If there were more hills visible betwen the second and the last one to give a clue to distance, it would help.
