rickety red rope bridge
Eons. For longer than anyone knows, the people of this world dedicated their entire existence to protecting the Red Rope of Infinity from the caustic effects of the Endless Ocean. That was before the sickness. As their numbers were diminished, so too was their ability to safeguard the precious rope. Now the Temples that were erected to worship the Rope are long gone. The once monolithic stone causeways that endlessly circled the planet, proudly conveying the Sacred Rope high above the Endless Ocean, have crumbled into the pitiful ruins you see today. Of course there are still Guardians here. They dutifully wander their desolate world, using anything they can salvage to keep the rope from slipping away into the acid, that will one day, surely consume it. This was a piculiar challenge at 3dcommune, it had to contain the rope and only the few items you see. the bridge legs are a few cubes with trans maps to make it look like there are a lot more pieces than were allowed.

Although this was created in 2005 it reminds me of a tv commercial for direct line insurance which is on tv now august 2013. Video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UOg-aKhk_g
the rope is a spline object the rope is a spline object I think it was created in amapi or wings or somthing like that...all pieces where part of a "kit" saved off for download as a .br5 file.
I'm curious to know how you made the rope. I always like the idea of a story to go with pictures, but most of mine are just technical experiments - I never seem to get around to making art. As you will see when I've finished my fourty third (so far unsucessful) attempt to simulate fluff.
the sky is a terrain
This certainly fits the story. Interesting sky.
