Saltwick Bay, North Yorkshire

Made with Bryce

Drakkar from DAZ's free models. The idea for the image came from a calandar and a photo taken by Joe Cornsih - if I read his signature aright. Most of my time was spent trying to get the great lumps of shale in the foreground looking right. Lens flair was added with Corel Photopaint and the gamma correction was done in PSP7. Took a fair while to render because of the DOF effect.

I think I know what's wrong with the look of the boat... The sail of the ship is blowing in a different direction then the wind appears to be. If you look at the way the clouds stream, the direction is differnt than that of the sail. It's a guess, I love the rocks and the angle of the camera. Also, beautiful use of the Lens flare. I give it a 5/5.

Very nice feeling, but I think the image could be better without the boat. Nice DOF effect.

Yes, this is very nice. Nothing that could be made better -- except perhaps that the deserted ship looks a bit odd. I like the "oily" look of the wet rocks in the foreground.
