midnite snake

Made with Bryce

this bird took far too long to make, it was modeled with approx. 60 metaballs, a couple of terrains and a few tori. the snake is from pose and the attempt at feathers was a combination of several different roofing shingle mats.

Bird Well its a good peice of work, i have to say that using meditballs to make a bird was not a great idea.

The bird is certainly a great piece of labour if done in Bryce. Snakes would swimm a bit under the surface with only the head peeking out, but then, this is the artistic element. Plants are great, background interesting. Nice detail, that pale moon. I don't like the water too much but it looks real.

Very impressive piece of metaball modleing, I can't say I'm entirely convinved - probably because of the lack of finer edges on the wings - but I know I couldn't do any better so I don't feel I can be too clever in my critique!

Bird I love the feet, the body and wings of the birth.. but its eyes and mouth don't seem quite as scary as i would imagine them to be. Very nice overall still :)
