2001 Clipper

Made with Bryce

Anybody remembers 2001: A Space Odyssey? Here the orbital station and the Earth shuttle called Clipper. I got the wireframes from http://www.strafe.com/2001/ for free. The moon texture is an albedo map (not a DEM) I found at the JPL.

Animation That's hardly a problem for the station. I thought about that, too. There are too many exiting things waiting for render time, though. The light: yes, because the Earth is actually the sky and the camera just tilted, shadows are not hard enough.

That's really nice. The angles are a bit disorinating - or maybe that is just me. Lighting in space is tricky, this seems to be good though, you can get away with light in the shadow regions thanks to the earth shine. Now can you animate the station to the strains of a wieniese woltz?
