Toy blocks in space
Bryce5.5 After the last somewhat harrowing image I thought have a shot at nice relaxing underwater image. Didn't quite work out as planned... As you can see, somehow I ended up in space. (seems to be a theme developing around here) So, I thought, on strong light source, swift render, mostly monochrome - but didn't quite work out like that either, I put a bit of space gas in there and that turned into a lot of gas, orange gas, glowing orange gas (72 lights woth) plus a strong sun outisde of shot (and another light) so in the end, we have 73 light plus bryce sunlight. The models, the five legged things were made from components moddled in wings3D - for the first time I used Bryce5.5 open GL mode to aligh the bits and have got to confess it worked 10x better than I thought it would! So from a body, a leg segment and a claw I put the things together adding a sphere to round things off (intensional pun - feel free to groan). The thing they are floating around is another wings model made by repeated extrusion - don't ask me what it is. Stuff.

Very cool. I first thought it was another variant of the Doomsdaydevice. There is a very good space feeling to this. The glowing gas cloud is especially good. This looks like a derelict space station or one that is in the making. The golden aliens look as if their neck ver broke. Yes, and the lighting is very good.
