GT500 Matchbox

Made with Bryce

Bryce5.5 with DOF effect via "processed" (PSP7) distance mask in Corel Photopaint. The render took over 200 hours processor time - all the light sources from the previous version were set to soft shadow (35) to try to emiminate any harsh edges, which has almost worked. Also increased the level of bump on the skin and modified the light in PSP7 via gamma compression. And changed the car from the GT40 to the GT500 - just for the sake of variety. Vicki and GT500, were imported via DAZ|studio. It was all very fiddly.

You are right in all respects. Excessive bump and the render size needs increasing to get rid of the saw-tooth. Not with softshadows though, the plan will be, when I get back to this project will be to increase the lights by at least a factor of 2 and just standard render and simulate DOF thorugh distance masking.

The right part of the skin of the ?moon mountain? of the hand (the thumb muscles are called that way by hand line readers) are too bumpy, look like being knit. The biologic lifespan for a human is 120 years, the lifeline of Vicky suggests that she won't make it that long - and she hasn't any children nor will get any, which seems reasonable for a virtual lady. The car is well focused but unfortunately, there are no reflections as on the previous one with the GT40. One more serious quible: I see sawtooth lines at the bright window frames. Suggestion: render double size (800 hours) and resize the pic to 50% using bicubic smoothing ... Well, it's a really nice piece of work, no matter what I've said above.
