Layered Fan with DOF WIP
As with the previous WIP fan image, I've used four layers of render to create the fake ambient light, however in this I've disabled the sunlight but left the sky to add "blue ambience" and added a single strong artifical light source and DOF effect. Can't really decide if this is an inprovement over the last.

It is indeed difficult to decide. The first is more neutral, could almost go for a manufacturers photograph in the catalogue. The second has nice descrete reflections on the upright part and because of the hard shadows looks very crisp. This one has focus and brightest light together, which is a nice touch. So each one has something special. The best one is the one with the effect you're looking for. The first was worth a fiver, the other two are between 4.995 and 4.998 ...
