Colony Series - Vivid-12
This one kept me so busy (about 2 weeks) that I was unable to concentrate on writing a supporting story. All I can tell is that the people are now envolved and things are going to get really messy because of the hostile nature Carva aliens possess. Technically: almost 52mil polygons, half of them are terrains (2048 res.), over 3100 objs, David's "Polished Iron" and its variations took place in texturizing...

Ok, Popgriffon, you're making an interesting point. As a whole I'm kinda busy right now to get back entirely to this project. But, it might look better with more bumpiness. The fog you're talking about (as far as I know) is not likely to spread on planet with no obvious atmo. If I add some I'll lose the effect of evaporated oxygen from the pipes on the right. I agree about the aircraft. But I just happen to have no appropriate textures on time. I promise to make some serious modifications but they'll come along with the new version of the Colony Series. Thank you all for your remarks! I always read them and take them very seriously. The "bad" thing is that sometimes the passion of creating new images can leave me with not enough Will to get back to the old ones and rework them. Thanks again, Horo, David and Popgriffon!
More Good, big scene, Here are my remarks: I think you should add some bump to the city material. Also all this stuff on the roof (radars, rocket launchers etc) - it should be more of it - especially in foreground. IMHO colours would be nice, but even if you stay with black/white a thin fog low between the buildings... The plane on the right - should fully made model with textures - it's too close and sophisticated to go with procedural bryce materials.
Very impressive indeed, but I don't agree with sticking to monochrome, if those red lights were to become genuine light sources along with a few other big "flood lights" put in to explain the light - the whole thing could become self illuminating. That being said, this is still 5/5
Definitely very impressing. Keeping it almost monochrome was a good choice. Great job, top marks.
