For best results smooth to 43 degrees, this leaves the edges sharp and the cut out letters smooth. If you use 45 degress or above this will smooth off the corners of the cube - if that is what you want. Anywhere much below 43 and you will begin to see hard edges around the letter cuts outs. I'm using this model to run some HDRI IBL hdr tests... hence the choice of letter. But you could if you liked, use the model to spell useful words like... er... Drill or Rib or Bibbil or Brrrrrr... I don't know. Spelling has never been my strong point. Do what you like with it.
