Muscle Beach

Made with Bryce

Again the 1971 AM Muscle Car 2n1 in IBL. This time I used beach_probe.hdr (which seemed appropriate) and tinkered with the image adding a bit of lens flair to pick out an existing highlight on the rear quater and also a touch of diffuse glow. Of course no sane person would park their pride and joy on the edge of a great expanse of water like this, but I just rather liked the effect. Still have not mastered the OE paint job sorry to say. Also I discovered that unlike the GT500 it does not seem possible to tweak the body position relitive to the wheels to give a good impression of body roll which is handy if the aim is to produce the impression of heavy cornering at speed - so that explains why I've gone for another sedate static shot.

Thanks. Er the render is indeed Standard AA and the car model does not have much impact on the render times, appart from the windscreen - which being transparent does slow things rather more than the body. Junctures between water and land, terrains and other terrains, has long been an issue for me. I wonder if there is any technological solution forthcoming?

Very nice The quality of light is very good. Is this rendered at "Standard AA"? What does the car model do to render times?

great I must fall in line and agree that the scene is terrific. I have nothing new to add after the previous comments. Awesome.

Just put a nicely clothed lady near the car and this could go as an ad. I like that strong reflection. Nitpicking, if I must, I would agree with gat about the sand but I'd rather add a terrain with a slightly darker material to make a wet strip. And even more nitpicking - hey, was the car posed by a helicopter? Where are the traces from the wheels? Ah - perhaps it's a windy day and the traces are already filled by sand by now. Excellent composition. Rocks in the background, water and sky all fit to how the car is positioned. Yes, it will be due to early rust, if this is the sea and not just a large lake.

. Everything looks good to me, accept how the sand just ends in the water like that, but that is a hard affect to fix without having a lot of transp onthat water. Maybe with two layers of water one set above the other it would work, but thnk of the rander time.
