Ice Demon Soft Shadows

Made with Bryce

To my surprise I think if I remember right this image rendered faster then the one without soft shadows and at regular anti. This rendered with soft shadows on everywhere and 16 rays per pixle in 1 hour 39 minutes. The volume snow didn't cast shadows in neither render.

Well, the queer rays have shifted. We've seen this on several occations for volume snow and volume rain. On the other hand, having the Nybras hoovering within a triangle is also an interesting addition, even though it is unintentional.

Good snow effects here, but there seems to be some odd lines appearing in the volume material... I've seen that before with volume snow, so I'm guessing that is the cause of it. The stripes in the snow make it look a bit like icecream - which is nice, but perhaps not desireable?

nice The soft shadows are a great addition. I feel that there is no real ned to keep the striped banding on the snow. The snow looks soft and fluffy and plausible.
