I got rid off a few lights and placed the caustics light facing away from the gate. I also did some post work in photoshop.

Exactly as I imagined it should look. Great light. The pyramids just hardly to be seen in the background complement this nicely. Good choice not to clutter the scene with more objects. Looks finished to me. 5/5.
Much better. The underwater feel is much more legitimate. The lighting is also dramatically improved. I see you added a base for the gate to be placed upon and I like it alot, especially the shadow it casts on the foreground. the light "energy" coming out of the gate seems very magical, just as the gate should appear. I think the scene looks alot more realistic. Great!
