I removed all Ambiance from the image based material, changed the size of the pattern and introduced a weak high frequency bump and 100% reflection. For the material of the warpdrive, I throttled up Ambience to max. Two small blue radials with square falloff were put into the nozzles.

. Also, I think tis really the size of the stars that is destroying the space look. Normally when a star is that size there would planets around it. So every start that you se in there should have planets around them. For example if you were go to pluto and look at the sun, the sun would be tiny.
Yes David, that is exactly what you said. Space nebulae are by definition blurred - but the stars are not. They contribute to the DOF effect that makes the ships appear like toys and they destroy my argument about the nebula.

Re-upload That's the only one that got lost, so I uploaded it again. I remember that my peers said the blured background makes the models appear as toys and that the mat on the ship looks metallic.
