Nebraska

Made with Bryce

OK, bear with me here. Remember awhile back when I posted that image for the Nebraska State Fair contest? Well after doing some more indepth looking at the rules and talking to a few people, I found out that the entry has to only have 4 colors. Since it was Sepia tone, I thought it might still work. However, it had to be printed on a t shirt for the state fair. So in the time I had left (the day I found this out was the day the entry was due) I whipped up this image on Photoshop in about 15 min. And it won. *gasp* Well thanks for all your support anyway. I still ended up with a great looking image. Just thought I'd let you all know what happened there.

I love richter's "The Dark Side of Bryce", it's a beautiful slightly abstract image which I have tried duplicating, but just wasn't able to do it. Love the style though.

Well, you did a great job here and congratz from me, too. You elaborated a lot in Bryce for that contest and had finally to resort to a 2D graph ap and that in a hurry. Now you've got ample time: take up the challenge and make something with four pure colours in Bryce. Richter could do it with just 2 (if you dismiss the yellow/red in the pumpkin (http://www.bryce5.com/details.php?image_id=1909).

Wasn't able to, it had to be 4 exact colors, not 4 colors and all their shades in between.

Well done, however, I'm disapointed that you did not submitt a bryce image.
