Haunted CAD unfiltered

Made with Bryce

Here for Gat's contemplation is the unfiltered version of the Haunted CAD image. Compair and contrast this with the previous version. I prefer the filtered image, but that's not to say everyone has to share my view. One of the great advantages of this site over say, the DAZ gallery, is the oppertunity to respond to feedback. I consider this image incomplete without the postwork, hence it appearing in unfinished works - but perhaps in this example, less is more? I remain to be convinced.

- ok I agree, there's a reason for this work here to be unfinished. Comparing the two images, the better one is obvious - the filtered one. What I like about this one is how the liquid surface reflects partly the above construction. This effect is lost in your filtered piece. I'd love to see a final incarnation of this image with the primary monochrome elements (edges), plus the bright upper level of the filtered Haunted Cad, but with the reflective "waters"/oil of the unfinished one.

- This looks much more 3D than the previous image. I look forward to seeing the finished work. :-)

. You right, it does look unfinished like this, sort of empty. Maybe it is lack of textures that causes this, but the filtered one does look better, even if it does over take the geometry of the design a bit.

- This is indeed unfinished. It is flat. The potential for something great is here but it does not yet "rock". We know what you've done with this and I'm awed at your imagination and expertise of using a graphics program, comparing the raw render and the post-worked result.
