Forest Fire

FROM THE COMMUNITY COLLECTION

Forest Fire

Made with Bryce

It was rendered this small to preserve the illusion of fire and to hide small imperfections. For some reason volumetrics worked for me here in more then one place. The fire volume material appears by itself around objects, two, it creates a material of another color at ground level. I used HDRi and sun for lighting, also David''s mirror box material.

. thanks! I decided to render a second version with some minor changes and a larger resolution, it should be done soon.

I'm not seeing a lot of fire except for some reflections on the tree. I see a lot of smoke, though. Trees and ground look fantastic. Pity you rendered it so small, but I quite understand your reasons. For me, this is more like a forest on a misty day with a low sun. If so, I would like to wander around here (not if it is indeed a forest on fire). Yes, there is some dreamyness in this one. Great job here!

Ah! I truly love a good forest. They can be so tranquil. I could use some tranquility right now. Not that I'm all bent out of shape, mind you. I just can never feel the awesome calm I get when communing with nature while I live in NYC, aka: the City from HELL!!!!!! Very good job on this. The trees are very well done. The lighting is good too. The low contrast give the image a dreamy feeling. I'm giving you a fiver for a nice dream forest. ;-)
