Entering Hypespace
The same model with some engine glow. 8 skinny cubes make up the hyperspace window and 4 torus' are behind it, all the same texture. Took the advice and added the light. Used the free program Images Tricks for the sun. Comments more than welcome.

You have pulled everything together for this image, looks really good. The swirly "smoke rings" add an extra level of interest to the whole hyperspace effect, which could otherwise, while however well concieved, have been predicable. Good work!
This Hyperspace is becoming more and more "dimensional". These "holes" in the plasma material are really intriguing. It's like I'm looking at something artificial with depth and weight, but then again I know it's got to be (at least theoretically) natural phenomena (or not? :) ). The added sun with its glow seems very nice. The engine glow also helps for the overall pleasing appearance of this render. Good job!
Cool Wornhole effect! Great image overall! :-)
Thank you for the comments. The program Image Tricks is a very simple program. You have a list of effects and you just click and put them into the picture. You can then change the the effect to your liking. It is a very cool, simple and easy program.
I agree with Horo's observations. You have done a very good job of each of the elements. Nice work!! I particularly like the sun. How exactly does this program you referenced function?
Now, that is something. The space cloud is very strange with those "bubbles". I like it. The bright light at the vanishing point of the light rays is excellent. The engine glow is great and that sun a nice addition. Spaceships are nicely lit.
