I agree with what's been said already. The sphere was probably made in Wings3D. The weak point is the noise in the reflection. Render as richter suggests. The colour choice is very nice.
Clever way of focusing! Overall the composition seems a bit incomplete. Maybe add more objects? If you want to keep it that way, try with stronger and cleaner DOF (use at least 64 rays/pixel). These are my suggestions if you're open for any :) Have a nice render, Mehran!
My first thought is how did you make this sphere with the pieces missing? This reflection is wonderful and like the sphere. I was wondering what caused the top image to blur some?
I agree with David. The reflection seems more real......if that is a reflection. Nice experiment!! :-)
Interesting use of DOF, you seem to be focusing on the reflection of the object. I like the shape, the light and the choice of colour. There seems to be interesing things happening under the surface of these spheres, but I can't quite make out what. I'd like to know more.
