Crimson Sadness
The image was rendered utilizing the "comic book cross-hatched" material. This time the main theme was a bit more dark, heavy and dramatic. The person... the girl feels so wrapped in her loneliness and sadness that she can almost feel the tightening cold chains around her body, those "chains of sadness" shap-edged and unforgiving. I always liked the way the red, black and white can interact with each other and mixed with the "cross-hatched" material, I think the scene served nicely to show how the mat works. For lighting the default sun was used plus a weak red-colored radial as a rim light. From the sky lab "soft shadows" were engaged and I intentionally rendered the img at Premium quality 9 rays/pixel, the soft shadows in Premium are a bit more dispersed then those at Super Fine (also in Premium they render faster) and the low rays per pixel kept a medium level of noisiness I believe suits well the overall feel.

oh ! it's really perfect this work is si balance 10 / 5
Thanks! Yes, the background was supposed to be a flag or a curtain. This is actually the same model I used for the mercury surface in the "Frosted Haematite" and in Morty's image as a pond surface. As a texture I used a mix of japanese tattooes which added a bit of mystic look I think. This is what lies behind the person.
Outstanding - again. This cross-hatched material looks excellent here and contrasts beautifully with the pattern of the background (which looks to me like a curtain). You catched the mood precisely. This is absolutely worth another fiver.
You know what man, I am a true fan of your work. Again this clever dance of 2d and 3d characteristics. If I did not know better I would think this was done by hand, and that is a great credit to the way you have mixed the dimensions. The red is intense and makes me think of blood, the color is most cleverly chosen. The detail of the chain links is elegant and another detail that makes it look like it was done by hand. Simply amazing.
It appears that she is not only torn on the outside but also on the inside. A quiet lonely desperation, is there no way of escape? Will she be able to fly above the storm into the bright blue calm above? Very nice work it still has the drama the color and the red all give a very nice touch to the main message.
I like this. The pattern on the red looks very cool just kinda hard to make out, which I also like. You did a good job making the person look sad.
