The Black Hole

Made with Bryce

The Titan is going to investigate the black hole in the middle of no where. (They later get sucked into the black hole as well). This was made all in Photoshop CS3, except for the ship model but was put in with PS. As you have probably figured out by now I like space stuff especially black holes, so I made one. The purple nebula started out as a lens flare. I add a blur filter to it to take out everything except the bright light and added the liquify filter to it. The colorful nebula I made a while ago using a custom brush and a different layer for each color. Stars were made with the 'Add Noise' filter then I erased most of them and used the clone stamp tool on the 'screen mode' to make the stars look more random. Hope you like it. Comments welcome.

A conversation around the artwork

I don't know how much of the picture has to be realistic, but on the artistic side it looks very appealing! All the stars are very well done. Good one, Connor!

I have to agree with all of you, the ship is a little dark. Fixed it tho, it looks much better now. I forgot to add, the stars in the middle of the large nebula were a Hubble Photo that I changed a little in Photoshop and to get the effect of 'being sucked in' I used the smudge tool.

The starfield looks great. The ship is a bit on the dark side. Nice colours.

I really like the colors in this. I cannot image doing this in Photo shop. I have to agree with the others about the ship.

What a great effect! I like it! I think that ship needs more diffusion. I can barely make it out on this LCD pannel. The reast of the image is GREAT! 4/5
