On second look - it looks as if United and America were burdens almost too heavy to bear. The State Of seem easy on the chaps. Is this picture a political statement?

As Horo mentions, the lighting is most effective. The entire thing looks like an experiment in indirect lighting, a very good one indeed. It looks like you used a light dome of some sort. Either it was a dome of radials or it was the invisible IBL dome. Either way the technique is exactly the same which is shadow casting lights from all sides allowing for very good expression of the model geometry. I see no flattening ambient glow, you are using real lights for ambient lighting and the result is most realistic! Keep it up!

Very nice idea, these wire men carrying the words. Pity there are no comments. I would like to know more about the lighting scheme you've used here. It looks quite good. A light dome, perhaps?
