Constellations
The house is FTC-Cottage with the SantaCottage texture from DAZ3D. Trees and bushes are from WinterInLake, also by DAZ3D and the background forest billboards by FoleyPro. The sky background was made in Stellarium. The scene is lit by my WhiteSphere HDRI (Quality Intensity 3.5, HDRI-Effect 10). Of course, there is a radial in the house. With this picture, I wish you all Happy Holidays and a successful 2009.

Effective light off the windows, one would wish to have the light patterns a tad smoother, but that will surely prove prohibitive to render. The rendertime that is. Very nice, and as Adrian points out, a romantic winter scene. My only criticism will go to the way the smoke appears too cylindric and the overly bright ground below the back trees which otherwise ought to be quite darker. These things aside, the mood is on, which I think is the most important thing achieved in this composition.
Thank you for your kind comments. No, the cottage is not free, but as a Platinum member I got the cottage together with the winter texture for less than $4.
Very good and romantic winter scene. Sky is most original. Well done Horo! Is the Cottage a free model?
` Great job and Nice background :D and happy holidays!
For some reason I forgot to comment on this yesterday. I love it. Favorite part is the lights from the window reflecting on the snow. Its a very clean render, the tree looks really good. Cool sky. Hope you have a happy holiday as well.
Wow! The lighting is working very well, the spirits are very cool. Excellent scenario! The snow looks very real and the brick texture is fabulous!
Great, Horo! And thank you!!!
