Searing Sun

Made with Bryce

The Pausanians Cruisers, the XK-119 BUG and the Hog are from DAZ3D (made by Phillip Drawbridge). A huge sphere has a spherical LDR image (5540 x 2770 pixels) from a Bryce render mapped on it. Lit by an HDRI made from the same scene (but much smaller). LDRI and HDRI were rotated and tilted to fit over each other. The blured appearance towards the edges is actually the distortion from the extreme camera angle used.

I love the lighting and the colors in this picture. Gonna try to figure out how to use HDRI. Very good picture.

Very nice result here. You capture the grandure of space here very nicely. The heat of that star. The overall color is very inviting. the lighting on the ships really helps to tell the story of the background. I really like the extreme brightness and the deep shadows, it is a stark contrast to the somewhat gaseous distance, it really helps add a feeling of distance between objects, those dark shadows. Very nice.

Horo, you are real master of HDRI pictures! This is very realistic space image!
