Hyperspace

Made with Bryce

Hi Guys! I've been away too long! I see Adrian and Archclan have been doing some marvelous abstracts. Nice work guys! My equipment has been dying slowly. I lost a 160 gig hard drive with a portfolio folder on it. Fortunately I have another folder with all my work on an another drive so I don't think I lost anything. I suspect it's just the logic board so I'll get an identical drive and use the new board to retrieve everything on the bad drive. I also lost my router this weekend so I'm using my Dell notebook as a gateway. I ordered a new router and should have it in a few days. I just had to put a new battery in my UPS because of all the drop outs I've been getting on the AC lines here. I hope to be cetting my SSD soon so I can start buying new equipment already. Anyway, all whining aside, I've done some new work but I've only been posting to my gallery. I'm going to have to put up some new wotk here. This one is my first for 2009 and is a lot simpler than it looks. I like the effect and it would look awesome animated with a ship, maybe a whole sequence going from normal space to hyperspace and then back again. I'm staying away from extra long renders with my equipment getting flakey so it will have to wait. All comments are welcome and appreciated.

sorry about your computer but awesome image! Strangely it reminds me of Doctor Who.

Thanks guys! The arthritis in my right shoulder has been a real obstacle. Even with pain medication it still gets in the way since my right arm is my dominant one. It bothers me all the way down into my hand. :-( I'll try to post here as often as I can. That's all I can promise.

Thanks guys! Connor- It's a stretched cone and the camera FOV is set to 180. I started with the standard 'shrink wrap' mat and played with it until I got this. ;-)

Ur Back!. Hi. That was my first thought as well, hyperspace, a very colorful one. Is it a stretched cylinder with this texture on it?

Hey spektyr, nice to see you back. That's what I thought - transition to hyper space. Looking at it makes the brain spin. Simple to do or not, it's the result that counts. You went off in a tangent of what we are used from you. Great job!
