SeaBass Rule

SeaBass Rule

Made with Bryce

An underwater scene with a Manta Ray, a Tiger Shark, and Sea Bass. Actually, I'm a bit disappointed in the outcome. I think it's the water, I should have used a more "murky" water. Gotta find a way to add some kind of a way to make the water look like its moving a bit. Took me all day to make this and all I can say is "Arrgh".

You are aware that fish do not make bubbles? Other then that. Great scene.

Mmmm, submarine?? No got, lol. I used a sky preset for underwater(mat file) scenes. I have a few of them, and I think I should have used a different one. I guess my eyes were getting blurry with the scene, lol.

Very good colors You have here! I agree with Horo, that submarine looks a bit small, but except of that - great composition and setup at all!

Don't say "Arrgh". The water looks excellent. Of course, I don't know what you were after. Most use an infinite slab to make water, I use coloured haze. Perhaps you could get some water dynamic if the water surface is visible from underneath. But to get that right is another challenge. You have the light right above the centre as is visible by the shadow the manta casts on the ground. Perhaps you move the source light a bit. I think the wreck is a bit small compared to the plants and the fish. With all the things half burried in the ground, it is easy to estimate the distance of the main wreck and it is quite near. The shadow of the manta takes about a third of the ship wreck. Therse clues all add up to make the ship appear toylike.

Absolutely perfect from an underwater perspective. Very good!
