I liked your work, Alexandr. I too make similar experiments with an ecosystem by an example of Rashad. I at first thought that trees on the middle ground are created from terrain. Likely in this scene it is a lot of polygons?

Thanks, Rashad! I'll try to use your advices. And You know, I'm terribly sorry! I had just commented Connor's picture "The Chase", so then, I absent-mindedly wrote his name instead of yours... Sorry!

Wow Alexandr, great job on this!!! As Horo says, the trees themselves are just fine, you did a fantastic job of it. Be proud for you have surely cracked the code on ecosystems. The sky is the limit now. They do not look like diseased bushes to me because you were wise to used a dense leaf image just as you should have to create realistic complexity in the trees. The colors of the vegetation are also well chosen. This ecosystem madness is very tricky, it is all about creating the illusion of complete trees by using only the branches of submerged trees. Because you know the process behind your own scene, it can be hard for you to see the trees as full, but trust me, they look just fine to the rest of us. You succeeded at creating an illusion of many trees! The only suggestion I might make is to say that the leaf size setting in the tree lab might be slightly too large right now adding to the "bushes" feel, make it a tad smaller and it will look more like trees though it might make the cluster less full. Either way stilll looks very natural. I am very proud of this work.. I think you may have gotten Connor and myself confused, no worries, Connor is one of my best buddies!

Thanks, Horo. Sise was my biggest problem here. When I made middleground trees smaller it turned as they were diseased bushes, not trees^(. And as for me, leaves of midleground trees apeared a bit blured, don't know, why:( May be because of low quality of picture I used instead of leaves...

This is looking quite good. The fir trees look rather natural, the trees in the midleground, too. However, we have a size issue. There should be more distance between the trees at the lake and the fir trees on the mountain slope. The landscape looks natural to me, water and sky are very nice.
