Down the Old Mississippi

Made with Bryce

Worked for 4 days on just the "water". The color is right for the Miss., but I couldn't get the "waves" right and I tried a lot of different mats. Now, before anybody says anything about the being too close to the water, this is Wisconsin and we do it like that, we drive on the ice in Winter, etc. The girl is flirting with the guy, lol.

Darn, I was focusing on everything else and didn't look hard enough at the rowboat. I agree rashadcarter. Yup, the smoke on the old paddlewheel should have been darker and spread out more. Lol, thank you Horo

This is a typical "Rebel". It's your style. I could say it's from you without looking. The waves and wakes from the two boats in the middle of the river and from the steamboat are absolutely outstanding. Your scenes are very detailed, there's a lot to look at.

Good. Scaling in generally improving in your scene however I think we could still fix a few things. The canoe seems small to support a human in the water. Flirtation is always welcome, he too is not standing next to a shiny car for no reason. Bling works. The water is most excelelnt. You only need to increase the requency of the water. Transparency is also key at this shallow depth. The exhaust from the boat might be made dirtier unless it is a steamboat. I think you might investigate as I have using a cloud like this one for the sky. There is an option in the material lab to integrate vvolumetics with the sky, which will give a low cloud the appearance of great height. I really like you eye for detail!
