Life is Good
I can't believe I finally got this out. I've been working on this piece for over a week. One of the causes that took this so long is, my computer kept crashing. I'm going to put a new Power Supply Unit in very soon. Back to the rendering, I had a heck of a time getting the Sky and Water to where I wanted it. Believe me, I tried every .bsk and water mats that I have. I tried adjusting everything I could, then, Wham, I got the combination I was looking for. Enjoy

Nice setup, as Horo I would preffer a small amount of haze for the horizon, otherwise the 3D feel suffers. From an aesthetic point of view, I suggest you to use darker (65~80% dark) soft sun-shadows and when rendering, make sure to select Super (Fine AntiAliasing) BUT with 9 rpp instead of 16 or more, although it makes no sense to me once you turned normal AA on for it to not work. I know about selective-manual switch-OFF for the AA but it only affects the volumetric materials in Bryce, not the entire scene. Of course I never used it. I always like to know with maximum acuracy how a given obj/mat/texture will look like after the final render. If your PC keeps crashing, check to see if the CPU cooler is alright and there's no dust, also if you recently bought a new hardware such as VideoCard it might be possible that the PSU cannot handle the power consumption.
Strange - from top to halfway down it looks good, the palm leaves, the sea (the sky doesn't count, it always looks anti-aliased). The lowest leaf at right, the seats and the sand do not.
Horo, something must be wrong somewhere. This is the second time you mentioned using AA and in both cases I have used AA (Regular). Things looked much worse before I used AA. Mmm.
Looks good. Water and sky do indeed fit nicely. Perhaps a bit of haze to soften the horizon. Sorry to hear your computer is crashing. That's probably why you skipped the anti-aliasing run. The waves on the water are really good.
