You may also consider to use the portrait instead of the landscape format. It would better support the form of the main object.
Agreed with Horo and Richter. Youa re ready to graduate this scene to the next level. I would give you a 5/5 now but then what will I give you after you upload the improved render?
Echo Horo here :) Soft shadows indeed. Next step - squared falloff of the main radial and even stronger orange lightcolor tint, after that - nice wood textures with the bump included. Oh, and give the DavyLamp a room from above and below to "breathe" :)
Oh this experiment turned out nicely. Next step, render with soft shadows.
