Red Rock Homestead
Rendered with Bryce5.5. Now this one gave me a few headaches. No matter what I did in the sky lab, I could not get shadows from most of the objects. Everything is set properly on the ground. I think that is due to the ground mat I used. But, I liked the ground and did not want to change it.

You are very correct about the shadows. I had one heck of a time getting shadows to show on the ground. It is the ground mat file that has caused the problems, but I liked the ground mat. I thought it was perfect for the scene.
Yes, you got dark shadows to the left of the barn but hardly any on the ground. I suspect the material on the ground has a bit much ambient. Otherwise, this is a nice render. The sky is a photograph, I take it. It blends in the scene nicely.
I did experiment with shadow intensity in the sky lab. This was the only way I could get the shadows on the ground. I had to put up with the sharp shadow on the barn in order to get shadows on the ground. If I lowered the shadow intensity, I would not have the shadows on the ground.
There is a master shadow setting in the sky lab. make sure shadow intensity is iset to no less than 75%.
