I like the outcome too. Because of the cold colors, the cloudy weather, this image possess sadness and loneliness. If the experiment was in that direction I can assure you that it was successful!

You will be surprised, Trish. I have nothing to complain. It is a simple scene but very well done. I particularly like how the horizon turned out. There is some ambiguity if there are darker clouds or another land partly hidden in mist.
