IBL Test: Final
Ok. I pushed the RPP up to 144 and the grain is hardly noticable now. This one looks like a photograph. ;-) All comments arwe welcome and appreciated.

I don't know what this is but it is very cool!!
I know. LCDs are very unforgiving when it coms to noise. I could push the RPP to max but then I'd be looking at a render of at least 10 hours accross 7 systems. Or I could render it at full res at a low RPP and size it down but I'm still looking at major render time. My air conditioner struggles to keep the room temp just below 85 these days without having the added heat of 9 CPUs hard at work. From noon to dusk my room gets baked by direct sunlight. Even overnight the AC would be hard pressed to keep the temp below 80 with all my systems rendering. Yet another reason I'd rather have two or three fast systems than 7 slow ones.
There is still a bit of noise visible, at least on an LCD. But we could say a fast, grainy chemical film was used.
