Hard work finished
After a long time of work, the car is finally finished! My steampunk style entry for the she freak challenge at DAZ. Used a heavily modified vicky she freak with a highly tweaked MFD texture and MFD expansion packs and bits and struf from other packs at daz, all with new or heavily tweaked textures. The wall texture came with bryce, the same as the gels at the parallel lights, although they are also modified. The car is a completely in bryce retextured NightStorm car from the free vault at daz. with terrains and primitives as wing attachment. The wings transparency gave some problems with the mesh being visible because, I think, refraction problems. So i setted the wings from blend transparency to normal and putted the refraction index to 100. Worked like a charm. All rendered with PRX materials, and some slight blurring to hide some of the noise that still appeared at 255 rrp. Critique is welcomed as always.

. God I love this - can't really say anything else, it's just a fantastic render so far as I'm concerned!!!!
Wow... I liked this render, but I didn't guessed that you liked it this much... The she-freak contest is aready finished, and I didn't maked it to the best four. There were more excellent renders there :P I think indeed it would be a bit better with soft shadows, but, well, now the render time was around a half day, with 3 pc rendering over a network... I think I was going to cry if |I think wat the render times will be with soft shadows... But maybe I will try that once. In a future scene.
Sorry boekenwuurm, no critique from my side this time. I can't think of anything to improve. I really hope you make it at the freak contest. As an advance, you get a 5/5 from me.
Are you kidding me? You must be joking! The details. The specificity, the simplicity, the lighting... Asside from the hardness of some of the shadows, this feels very much like realism. All I can say is that you are truly a gifted, hardworking, and inspiring Bryce artist. 50+
