Hang on, mates!
Added a smoke trail (another Pal Variant by David in the Pro Materials set). Copy/pasted the saucer in place, scaled it ~30% larger (xyz), added the Pal Variant orange flame material, off set it to simulate trailing flames. Then pasted another copy of the saucer, added the Pal Variant material that looks like smoke, stretched it in the x-axis only, off set it so it trailed the saucer & flames. Thanks, David for the original suggestion (and the cool materials!) =) Next will try to animate the whole thing including the fire & smoke...may take a few days at least. ...maybe should use a different sky so the clouds don't parallel the smoke(?)

re: crash landing Will it crash? Hopefully, a belly landing that will melt a considerable amountof ice!! (animation to follow) Will work on the exhaust as well in this frame. =)
Will it crash? Looks good. The smoke ought to be a bit wider IMHO, as wide as the flying saucer.
