Thank you, Rashad. I have Bryce 7 Pro. Just need to find time to study. :-))
Compelling image. I find myself staring at it half expecting something to start moving. I agree with Horo, the lamp is a bit of an issue. I think you did well with what Bryce 5 offers but with Bryce 7 you could easily solve this problem by using a simple dome instead of a standard radial.
Thank you, Horo. You are right about the soft shadows. But there is applied an array of light sources to simulate the HDRI and TA. Enabling soft shadows unreasonably increased the render time. Under a lamp shade from the hull. Then the light area. Further, a transparent shadow from the lampshade. So here's all true. Smoke from cigarettes made in Terrabrush, then applied to 2D face with an alpha channel.
Very good setup and nicely detailed. Modelling is excellent. The smoke from the cigarette is particularly well done. This is a very brightly lit room and the soft shadows look nice. I think it is a bit odd that there is less light under the lamp shade. I would expect more. Minor quibbles, though.
