Rendered against a mirrored sphere, i was just playing around, got tired of looking at the flat horizon going on forever, needs a little more work, but i i like seeing a rounded horizon.

Good idea and very nice romantic picture! Very nice view angle and overall composition. I like the way it turned.
Good idea. You can also use a 2D-disk in front of the camera and set refraction higher than 100. Rising fog looks good, too.
