I used Alien Artefact 15 from MatCreator's Alien Artefacts 2 package, see http://www.daz3d.com/i/shop/itemdetails/?item=12916 and left it white. It is coloured by the HDRI specularity. The object sits on a 2D-Face with 50% transparency and a high refraction index, but no reflection. The bump pattern should make it look a bit more interesting.
