THe hand??? I think I've been watching too many re-runs of LOTR movies, plus it just came to me??? Also had a desire to toss one spammer into a lava pit. As a matter of fact, I'm going to come up with a nice lil render called "Revenge on the Spammers!" LOL

Sorry about the delay Sorry about the delay in replying. Horo: No. it's just the hand of that unfortunate bloke who fell to his demise while trying to both save and clutching "My Precious".... Ummm, David... Didn't use the premium setting... Use the Super Fine one and it only took less than an hour but I did use IBL and only 1 light inside the ring. I also used an old DOF trick (mask and photoshop). Did another one with the Premium setting but without the hand. Just wanted to give an example of what to expect with a short tut that I put up at Renderosity for creating the ring. I'll post it in here, momentarily. Slepalex: Thank you for your comment. Very nice effects and materials!
The materials in this scene look very good combined with the premium render effect used. Must have taken quite a while to render out? If possible, I'd suggest importing one of the DAZ model hands for this job. If you can get Bryce in the "mood" to talk to DS that is!
Is this Sauron's hand trying to get the ring to rule them all? I like the round plate best. Very nice work and certainly fitting the subject.
