DOF effect in Bryce 7.1 Pro

Made with Bryce

Bryce Depth of Field effect - a 15 minute tutorial by David Brinnen A Bryce 7.1 Pro tutorial aimed at people who are familiar with the basic operation of Bryce (as well as those who are moderately well versed in Bryce but have not yet used the premium effects) and wish to expand their skills. The tutorial covers the making of a simple scene (consisting of a several terrains and an object preset), modifying lighting and render options. It is moderately fast paced, because the aim was to cover both a bit of theory and the practical application of that theory in the fifteen minutes. Some additional text is included in the video, you may have to pause the video to read it. Better viewed in HD - some of the controls in Bryce are quite fiddly and small. Bryce Depth of Field effect - for less powerful computers - a video tutorial by David Brinnen An addition to "Bryce Depth of Field effect - a 15 minute tutorial by David Brinnen" showing how a very similar effect can be achieved using Bryce and Paint Shop Pro 8, for people who do not have very fast computers to work with.

- The renders I'm always drawn to are Terragen 2. That is the quality of light and terrain and atmosphere I'd like to see in Bryce. Than you for your kind remarks and yes, I too would like to see displacement fixed!

- I'm playing catch-up a bit with responses over here at Bryce5.com. This is a wonderful render, the only thing I could hope for is a fully 3d pebble modeling or much better displacement from Bryce. Beautiful light and material response. Masterful obviously.

- This video was an eye opener for me. Oh, I did experimemnt with DOF before, but the scenes I used were not ideal for it. That we ought to consider the size of the object was something I've missed before - though I should have known.

- You got there first, I would have put a little advert for it up sooner, but I didn't want to push your images off the front page. There are a few more to come yet, but I will wait - so if you look on my channel, you may see I've added another just a few minutes ago.

- I've already looked at this tutorial. Thank you.
