Remember Autumn
Bryce 7.1 pro, Characters created in Daz studio 4.5. This image has been in the works off an on for over a month now and has been through a lot of variations and changes including a winter version. The sky in this version is David and Horo's HDRI Volume skies, It was a lot to get three fully loaded people in here, mostly because of the complexity of the clothes and hair, There are over ninety trees in this image most were used in creating the grass, every tree was hand placed and in some places layered two or three deep. The AA was set at 256, with TA and Soft shadows. The scene is lit by the HDRI , The Bryce sun and two radial lights, one of which is used just to lighten the shadows on the people with the specular set to 0 and everything else excluded. The render time was 27 hours.

That is a great render. I love the sunlight on the faces of the ladies. You can nearly feel the warmth ot the sun beams. (Probably that could be a reason to try it again with a winter version of your scene?) Your grass technique is cool: What a creative misuse of Bryce trees. :-) It's the result that counts. One tiny thing. The foliage of the trees in the foreground looks a bit blurry for my taste. But this is an artist's decision. All in all a lovely scene and surely full marks.
Looks" hobitish", the building at right. Very nice scene and very well done. I agree with slepalex about the brightness of the vegetation which is not directly lit. It is a bit bright and the contrast is lost. In fact, I miss shadows. The water came out excellent, we can feel it flow.
* Your level of skill raises! Excellent scene and lighting. Two small remarks. The foliage has to be more dark in the depth of a crown. Probably, too big Ambience. The stone laying is too extended across. Nevertheless, excellent assessment.
Absolutely incredible. Fascinating. Very dreamy yet tangible. I love the expressions on the faces, and I love the generosity of the indirect lighting, very safe feeling. Excellent work. Full marks!
