That's the best undergrowth I've seen - that's not to decry the rest of the image you understand, that's excellet too, espically like the lighting angle and shadows over the gun. The face is a little scary possibly beacuse the expression is so ambiguous - it's like, you think "what's going on here then?" - which is nice. Back to the undergrowth, the way the leaves catches the light is very good and would tempt me into putting a slightly bumpy procedural material on them, something veiny... Top marks for composition, btw, my vote is in!
