Trainspotter

Made with Bryce

The bridge, the landscape, the trees are entirely made in Bryce. I used textures from David Brinnen and Horo Wernlis Vegetation package for the background and also for the bushes. The trees themselves are made with the tree lab. The train and wagons are from http://tf3dm.com. The man is from DAZ3D. The scene is lit with the Bryce sun with a bit of softshadow and TA. Render time about 15 hours. I hate to tell you, that the steam got a bit of postwork with photoshop (Steam is so hard to achive in Bryce).

Nice scene electro-elvis. Ah, the good old days of steam.

Thank you slepalex for your kind comment. The good looking background textures are from David and Horo's package "Vegetations", too. Really useful and good looking.

* I want to say that this is a daunting job. Great composition, lighting and texture. Excellent simulated trees. I also drew attention to the little things like a wet base of the column, the stones on the coastal edge. Terrain in the background looks very realistic. As for texturing and texture scaling bridge of primitives, then I understand how this is a laborious process. The only thing I would reduce the reflection of the water in the river. I also understand what difficulties were with the smoke from the chimney of a steam locomotive. From me the highest mark!

Now this looks absolutely fantastic and photo-realistic. The bridge is a great construction. Fore-, middle- and background look very real. The trainspotter is a great addition because he helps to give the size impression. This is a 5/5, I like every bit.
