Trenches

Made with Bryce

Triple stacked terrain with different materials and textures. The camera is looking through the EWL (extreme wide-angle fisheye lens). Ambient light from the HeavyClouds_4096 HDRI from the HDRI Enhanced Skies Set, the key light from the sun (EWL and HDRI available from Daz). Trenches divide mountains.

Thank you Rashad. I used World Creator often for terrains, but also wrote a program to filter large terrains that Bryce is so slow that you can't see what you're doing. DTE terrains are unfortunately only 8 bit. What I often do is export a Bryce generated 4096 16-bit terrain, filter it and import it back. There are so many things that can be done even without resorting to World Creator. The Bryce TE is very good, but with v7 it got unbearably slow.

Again, brilliant terrain building. Is this all seriously being done using nothing more than the Bryce DTE? How are you blending the different noise functions together? I shouldn't be surprised, you are afterall a math-head, so the DTE makes sense to you. I'm really impressed.
