Well... I will tell you. I actually made this by accident... First off I set the background to the pitch black sky. Next I made an orb. I textured the orb with one of the water materials. Then i put a sphere light in it, just a bit smaller than it though. And all that is left to do is stick the camera inside the orb. It is so easy to make this and it looks really cool "A World in an Orb" is what i originally called it.
Why not? Just tell us, the suspense is killing me. Probably a full reflecting sphere with the camera very near.

Guess- looks to me like a voleume material.
1st guess Is it... the sky reflected in a perfectly mirrored terrain?
